“Surfaces In Motion" depicts the movement made by the planes in the cryptex. The planes are arranged around the volumes with bent sides and are translucent portraying the ability to move. Compared to the volumes that are made by opaque solids, it visualizes a higher density object and is seen to have more steady. Adding on the volumes are compacted together to show a sense of weight. This relates back the design driver of stability versus movement.
